It's a good mall, but it's still missing a department store. Spacious, clean, welcoming, variety of vendors, and good quality. I've done a lot of shopping for clothes and shoes here, as well gotten some appliances and electronics. On top of that a lot of the stores have reasonable pricing compared to other malls I've been to, without sacrificing much quality. Sometimes we'd come here just to get out of the house and look around, it's got a good atmosphere that feels calm and welcoming. The Regal Cinema is a good experience, and the restaurant food is usually delicious. Great variety of stores ranging from clothing, entertainment, shoes, jewelry, Knick knacks, food, and more. The premises are well maintained, and the inside is kept clean and presentable. I sincerely hope that it continues to stick around for a long time in spite of the decline of brick and mortar.Īfter all this time it's still a great, clean, enjoyable place to go shopping. I did notice several parking garages that will put you right in the 'village'. I absolutely loved walking under the shade of the oaks and looking at these cute old homes. Get out of the market and you will find one of Tampa's cutest little neighborhoods. If you go - I would strongly suggest taking a bit of time to walk some of the side streets. This is what I enjoyed the most, the surrounding and historic neighborhoods. We took a side street and walked some tree covered streets. On our visit in August, it was very hot, and I was rather quickly looking for an exit. The street vendor foods did look well worth trying and similar in price to what I find at other festival type events.

One Sunday out of the month street vendors are invited to come and sell their wares. It can be a fun change of pace, something to see. It was clean, safe, well kept, but nothing me or my friends would typically enjoy.

I only gave it three stars as this is not the type of place that I enjoy very much. The shops are all high dollar as my mother used to say. The small shopping area is cute and very walkable. Hyde Park Village is a very trendy neighborhood set of shops near downtown Tampa.
